These hydroponics systems are set up to grow plants
on worm tea. This process is called vermiponics.
These systems were designed by Ed Meisel to
utilize low-cost materials efficiently. These
hydroponics systems have grown up to 300 lbs
of tomatoes at one time. We are currently
experimenting with using worm tea as the sole nutrient
source for plants.

Vermicast (the solid waste from vermiculture) is
also used to grow plants throughout the greenhouse.

All of the plants in the greenhouse are grown using
vermicast and worm tea--all from waste that is
typically thrown away.
